Who we are
This website is run by 9Eons Limited, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 06393882), Luminous House, 300 South Row, Milton Keynes, MK9 2FR, United Kingdom. We are the controller of the personal information described here and are registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), registration number ZB955469.
For anything about your personal information, contact our data protection lead at [email protected].
This notice covers 9eons.com only. Our consumer and business brands have their own privacy notices: TISA and GuardianSIM®.
What we collect and why
- Contact form: your name, email address, phone number (if you give it) and your message. We use these to reply to your enquiry. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us, or taking steps at your request before entering into a contract.
- Wholesale rates request: the same details plus your company name and the services, destinations and volumes you tell us about. We use these to prepare a quote and discuss a possible interconnect, on the same lawful basis.
- Emails you send us at any address shown on this site are handled in the same way.
- Technical data: when you visit, our servers and our security provider record your IP address, the page requested, the time and your browser type. We use this to keep the site secure, stop abuse (for example limiting how often a form can be sent) and fix problems. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in running a secure website.
We do not ask for sensitive information, and we do not use your details for automated decision-making or profiling.
Cookies and analytics
This website does not set cookies and does not use advertising or tracking tools. We may use cookie-free visitor statistics from our website security provider, which count page views without identifying you or following you across other sites. Because no cookies are used, there is no cookie banner.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your information. We share it only with service providers who process it for us under contract, in these categories:
- our website hosting provider (servers in the United Kingdom);
- our website security and content delivery provider;
- our business email and office software provider, which stores enquiries we receive;
- other companies in our group of brands, where your enquiry is about one of their services;
- professional advisers, regulators or law enforcement, where the law requires it.
Some of these providers may process information outside the United Kingdom. Where they do, we rely on UK adequacy regulations or the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum, so that your information keeps an equivalent level of protection.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries and rates requests: up to 2 years after our last contact with you, unless you become a customer, in which case our customer privacy notice applies.
- Server and security logs: normally a few weeks, and no longer than 3 months unless needed to investigate a security incident.
Your rights
You have the right to ask for a copy of your information, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to data portability where it applies. To use any of these rights, email [email protected]. We will reply within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please contact us first so we can try to put it right. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
