Acceptable use policy

Voice and messaging services from 9Eons Limited. Last updated 21 October 2026.

This policy applies to every carrier, business and customer who sends voice calls or messages through the 9Eons network, including through our products. It works alongside your contract with us. If anything here conflicts with your contract, the contract applies.

What is not allowed

  • Fraud and scams: phishing, smishing, impersonating banks, government bodies or other organisations, and any attempt to obtain money or information dishonestly.
  • Artificial traffic: artificially inflated traffic (AIT), international revenue share fraud (IRSF), wangiri (missed-call) schemes, SIM boxing and traffic designed only to generate revenue.
  • Number and sender spoofing: presenting a calling line identity (CLI) you are not entitled to use, or a sender ID that misleads people about who you are. CLIs must be valid and dialable, in line with Ofcom’s rules on calling line identification.
  • Unsolicited marketing: sending marketing calls or messages without the consent the law requires, including under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR), or ignoring opt-out requests.
  • Unlawful or harmful content: anything illegal, threatening, harassing, abusive or that infringes someone else’s rights.
  • Attacks on the network: trying to get around our security, overload our systems, or route traffic in ways we have not agreed with you.

How we protect the network

We monitor call patterns and traffic for signs of fraud and abuse, and our SMS firewall blocks spam, unauthorised routes and misuse. Where we see traffic that breaks this policy, we may block it, suspend the route or account involved, withhold payment for fraudulent traffic, and share information with other networks, regulators or law enforcement where the law allows.

Your responsibilities

  • Make sure your own customers follow equivalent rules.
  • Keep your systems and credentials secure, and tell us straight away if you suspect they have been compromised.
  • Co-operate with our investigations into suspected fraud or abuse.

Reporting abuse

If you receive a suspicious call or message that you think came through our network, please email [email protected] with the subject “Abuse report”, including the number or sender ID, the date and time, and what happened.

Shall we begin our conversation?
