9Eons Limited takes a zero-tolerance approach to bribery and corruption. We work across many countries and with many partners, and we expect honesty and integrity in every one of those relationships. This policy reflects our duties under the UK Bribery Act 2010.
Who it applies to
Everyone who works for or on behalf of 9Eons, including directors, employees, contractors, agents and anyone else acting for us, wherever they are in the world.
What we do not allow
- Offering, promising, giving, asking for or accepting a bribe, in any form, to gain or keep business or an advantage.
- Facilitation payments (small unofficial payments to speed up routine actions), even where they are common locally.
- Gifts, hospitality or donations that could influence, or appear to influence, a business decision.
- Using third parties to do anything on our behalf that we could not do ourselves under this policy.
Gifts and hospitality
Modest, occasional gifts and hospitality as part of normal business relationships are acceptable, such as a business meal at a conference. They must be reasonable, given openly, never in cash, and never offered or accepted while a decision involving the other party is pending.
Partners and suppliers
We choose carriers, suppliers and partners with care, and expect them to share our standards. We may end a relationship with anyone who breaches them.
Raising concerns
Anyone who suspects bribery or corruption connected with 9Eons should raise it with a director, or email [email protected]. We will not tolerate any detrimental treatment of someone who raises a genuine concern in good faith.
Consequences
Breaches of this policy are treated as serious misconduct and may lead to dismissal, the end of a contract and, where appropriate, a report to the authorities.
